Tom Henihan

Tom Henihan was born in Limerick City, Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1981. He has lived mainly between southern Alberta and Vancouver Island over the past 18 years. He has read his work at many of the major venues across Canada and has been a resident artist at the Leighton Artists Studios at the Banff Centre for the Arts in 1995, 1997 and 1998. His first collection of poetry Between the Streets was published in 1992. His second book, A Mortar of Seeds, which was nominated for a 1998, Writers Guild of Alberta Award, was published by Ekstasis Editions. Almost Forgotten, a letter press, handmade, signed limited edition, was published by Frog Hollow Press in April 2002. His fourth collection, A Further Exile was published in May 2002, also with Ekstasis Editions. Subsequent to the publication of Almost Forgotten he was invited to take the position of Editor with Frog Hollow Press, a position he presently holds. He lives in Calgary, Alberta.
