Focus and Scope

The University of Toronto Journal of Undergraduate Life Sciences (JULS) is dedicated towards showcasing the research achievements of undergraduate life science students and to encourage intellectual exploration across the various life sciences disciplines. JULS welcomes manuscripts in the form of research articles or mini-reviews and is committed to selecting high-quality manuscripts demonstrating well-conducted research work and insightful analyses.

Peer Review Process

Both Research Article and Review submissions undergo a double blind peer-review conducted by undergraduate students of the Review Board.

Articles shortlisted for publication will be further reviewed by the Faculty Advisory Board prior to actual publication.

 

Publication Frequency

The UofT Journal of Undergraduate Life Sciences is published annually.

 

Open Access Policy

JULS provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
