Government of Canada Relocation Support Services Procurement Activities

The Government of Canada Relocation Support Services (GCRSS) will support the requirements of the National Joint Council (NJC) Relocation Directive, The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Integrated Relocation Program (IRP) Directive, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) IRP Directive. These services were previously referred to as the Integrated Relocation Program (IRP) services. The introduction of the name GCRSS is intended to distinguish the procurement of services from the IRP applicable to Public Servants, to Members of the CAF, and to Members of the RCMP.

The GCRSS include the administration and delivery of relocation services, such as relocation planning, residential marketing assistance, destination services and a variety of other related services. These do not include the physical movement of household goods and effects, which are managed under separate contracts. The relocation program is designed to support transferred employees in their relocation to their new work location and reduce the effects on departmental operations.

In conducting the upcoming procurement, we will adopt the principles of Smart Procurement that have served us well in many recent high profile complex procurements. These principles include robust and open consultations with industry, governance and use of third party experts.

PWGSC is committed to ensuring that the procurement process is open, fair, and transparent. PWGSC will engage the services of independent third-party advisors as well as a fairness monitor.
