Thank-you message to employees who applied for the call for interest

On behalf of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to the over 3,000 public servants who answered the call to action to support PSPC in reaching a steady state with the Phoenix pay system. The response rate is a testament to the dedication and collaborative spirit of public servants from across the country.

All resumés have been reviewed, and some of you have already been contacted as part of the hiring process. We are actively sorting through the many applications. Pools are being created and shared with other departments that may also need assistance. Therefore, if you expressed interest in administrative support, customer service or analyst positions, you may be contacted by another department that would benefit from your skills and expertise. These pools will be in place until March 31, 2018.

The Privy Council Office, the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, and PSPC remain fully committed to bringing the Phoenix pay system to a steady state as quickly as possible. The public servants being hired will no doubt help us reach our goal more quickly.

A strong and united federal public service has the power to accomplish great things.
