Pay Centre Welcomes New Clients from Wave 1 Organizations

During September 2012, 3,200 additional pay accounts were transferred to the Public Service Pay Centre. A total of 7,200 Wave 1 employees are now being provided pay administration services by the Pay Centre. A further 12,800 pay accounts will be transferred over the next year, so in order to find out when your department or agency will be served by the Pay Centre, feel free to view the complete Consolidation of Pay Services Project Transfer Schedule.

Wave 2 Recruitment and Staffing… just around the corner!

Hiring processes for 197 Wave 2 compensation staff are planned to be launched at the end of September 2012. A total of 12 processes will be posted and will include deployment and promotional opportunities for employees within the Compensation Community (at the AS-02, AS-03, AS-04 and AS-06 groups and levels) as well as external staffing processes at the CR-04/AS-01 groups and level. Candidates that apply for a deployment will be assessed through a comprehensive review of their resume as well as a reference check process, similar to what was done during the Wave 1 hiring.

Compensation Employee Placement Process

If you identify a requirement to fill a vacancy in your department/agency or to initiate a discussion outlining your staffing requirements, please send us your completed Appendix A from the Compensation Employee Placement Guide to transformation@pwgsc.gc.ca. We will then work with your manager and Wave 1 Departments to collaboratively refer employee names.
