canadian ~ twenty-first century literature since 1999

Hi, darling. How's it going? Why aren't you returning my phone calls?

Yes, we'd be happy to promote your client's book.

Who's it by?

Hmm. Never heard of him.

Oh, it's a her.

Ah, whatever. Let's see what we can work out.

What you need to know:

  • In 2006, the website is receiving about 25,000 visits per month.
  • This is up over 100% since we started tracking visits in October 2003.
  • Since 1999, TDR has interviewed over 100 authors, most of them published by Canadian small presses.
  • Yes, our focus is mostly on the small presses, but this is not a strict rule.
  • No, we're not really interested in poets or poetry at the moment.
  • Promoting the short story is our current pet project. Anything you can suggest along those lines will be well received.
  • We publish book reviews, but this is not our focus -- we are not a "book review site" and turn down most review requests.
