Bursaries and Scholarship:

Scholarships and bursaries are an ideal way to offset the financial burden of your education; still, they are often an untapped resource.

When starting your search for a bursary or scholarship to suit your needs, try starting at your own academic institution (or the institution you plan on attending) first. Schools, universities, colleges, and other training centres often offer a wide range of such programs. Remember that you are not restricted to apply only to programs that focus on Aboriginal students - you can receive awards in a wide spectrum of other student categories as well.

These awards are based a number of different criteria - financial need, academic performance, community service, etc. - the exact requirements for each award vary considerably. It sometimes takes a bit of investigation, but the results can be well worth the effort.

Here are but a few of the thousands of academic awards out there, followed by contact information for each program.
