Surveillance Standards

Communicable disease national standards enable enhanced data collection, transfer, analysis and dissemination of electronic information and surveillance products in communicable diseases.

To advance surveillance standards work, standards working groups are put in place. Their mandate is to make recommendations, propose standards, facilitate integration and explore emerging surveillance methodologies to help stakeholders improve disease surveillance efforts.
