As a result of program evaluations, lessons learned from major exercises and responses, as well as the 2010 emergency preparedness and response internal audit, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is undertaking a comprehensive review of its current and future NOHERT surge response program mandate and services.
This review is being conducted in partnership with key stakeholders, as well as federal, provincial and territorial partners with the objective of improving and strengthening Canada’s coordination of health emergency surge capacity. More information will be made available as key milestones are reached in this process.
