CAPC Community Profiles

For more than fifteen years, CAPC has helped communities to promote the health and well being of young children, their parents and families, facing difficult life circumstances.

CAPC encourages communities to develop coalitions of parents and service providers concerned with the health and social development of children. Priorities and target groups are identified in order for projects to reflect each region’s particular needs.

The five profiles below provide a glimpse at some of the activities and innovative programming going on in CAPC sites across Canada. The views expressed in these stories are those of the authors and individuals working in CAPC projects, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Public Health Agency of Canada or Health Canada. All articles have been reviewed and approved by the projects profiled. The stories were written by Alison Larabie, who was at the time a journalism student at Carleton University.
