[2] Due to the confidentiality provision of the Family Maintenance Enforcement Act, direct access to client files by Family Justice Counsellors would be problematic. Other methods of information sharing, such as the use of client consent forms and client access to the FMEP website, could be considered to address the desire to share client enforcement and payment status data.
[3] Establishing the source of each payment and whether the payments were voluntary or made as a result of a deduction was problematic.
