The Library and Archives Canada Management Board

Peter Bruce

Peter Bruce is Director General of the Information Technology Branch, and Chief Technology Officer for Library and Archives Canada. He joined LAC in 2002 after a two-year leave of absence from the Federal Public Service.

During his two-year absence, Mr. Bruce worked at the Ministry of Education and Management Board Secretariat in the Government of Ontario.

Having worked in six federal departments over 22 years, he has extensive experience with the Federal Public Service. His public service career has been focused on using technology to deliver government programs and services.

Mr. Bruce holds a bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from Queen's University.
