Canadian Health and Safety Legislation on the World Wide Web

Canadian Health and Safety Legislation is an electronic collection of health, safety and environmental information produced by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS). This popular collection, which has proven to be an economical and time-saving CD-ROM investment for the past five years, is now also available on the World Wide Web.

The collections presents full-text legislation and amendments from all jurisdictions, including high-resolution graphics and tables. It covers workers' compensation, transportation of dangerous goods, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), environmental protection and more.

The new World Wide Web format offers extensive hyperlinks and a powerful search engine for quickly finding relevant legislation. The Web version is best accessed with the latest versions of Web browsers, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer, that feature bookmarks and annotations, display and printing of in-line graphics, and cutting and pasting.

Canadian Health and Safety Legislation is available on a subscription basis over the World Wide Web (Windows, Macintosh, UNIX) or on CD-ROM (Windows).

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety is Canada's expert health and safety resource and information publisher. The Centre's mandate is to promote health and safety in the workplace through its products and services, with an emphasis on prevention. CCOHS enjoys a well-established reputation worldwide as a leading authority in occupational health and safety.

Health and Safety Canada Internet Mailing List

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) is pleased to announce the creation of Health and Safety Canada (HS-Canada), a free, Internet e-mail-based mailing list for the occupational health and safety (OH&S) community.

HS-Canada is a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among individuals with an interest in OH&S in a Canadian context. Messages sent to HS-Canada may relate to any occupational or environmental health and safety topic specific to Canada, specific to one or more provinces or territories, or of interest to Canadians in the health and safety field. Although the list is intended primarily for people working in Canada, anyone with an interest in Canadian OH&S issues is invited to subscribe.
