Deadline for Nominations for the CCA National Arts Awards: April 30th

Recently it was the Oscars, this weekend it's the Junos, but please remember that April 30, 2006 is the deadline for nominations for the CCA's National Arts Awards! We invite all CCA members to give serious consideration to nominees for these awards. Nomination forms are available in the Awards section of the CCA website or by contacting Paul Galipeau at the CCA (paul.galipeau@ccarts.ca, 613-238-3561 ext. 20).

The awards will be presented at a special reception this September in Toronto.

The Diplôme d'honneur for outstanding contributions to the arts in Canada is presented annually to a Canadian who has made a sustained contribution to the cultural life of the country, whether through individual arts practice, volunteer activity, mentoring, patronage, or other recognized support. More than 70 visionaries and creators of Canada's rich cultural identity, including Glenn Gould, Maureen Forrester, Oscar Peterson, and last year's winner, Roch Carrier, have been recognized since its inception.
