Emily Carr at Home and at Work

Animal Word Find
Animals

Emily Carr taught art lessons in relaxed surroundings. Beginners would find a sketch pad and pencil before them and were asked to sketch what they had seen on their way to school in the morning. Emily’s studio on Granville Street, in Vancouver was a wonderful place to be. Emily Carr loved animals. She had window boxes bursting with flowers, and cages that rattled and squeaked with squirrels, chipmunks, racoons, and bullfinches. Emily had many animals during her lifetime including many birds, dogs, rats, and even a pet monkey! Do you have any pet animals at home. Do you ever see animals on a farm or in the wild?
