Black Tickle
Black Tickle was a most flourishing fishery establishment around 1800. Captain
Robinson, sent to Sandwich Bay to investigate a dispute, reported upon his return that all the
major fishing harbours, Islands of Ponds on which Black Tickle is situated being one of them,
had a few men winter there to take care of the property and to trap furs.
