L'Anse eau Claire

L'Anse eau Clair, translated Clear Water Cove, was established by the French in the early 1700s and is located nearest the Labrador-Quebec border. Newfoundlanders and people from the south of England began settling in L'anse eau Clair shortly after the border dispute in 1825.
