The Wabush Project represents an investment of $300 million of private capital and is the joint venture of three companies: The Steel Company of Canada Ltd., Dominion Foundries and Steel Ltd., and Wabush Iron Ore Ltd. The iron ore deposits at Wabush were first examined in 1933.
