Weldon Union Church

The cairn that sits on the site of the Weldon Union Church reads as follows:

Weldon Union Church
1908-1942

This cairn marks the site of Weldon Union Church. Built by the members of the Methodist and Presbyterian congregations. This, one of Canada’s first Union Churches, was officially opened June 28, 1908. During the 1930’s, the attendance declined due to a changing population and modern transportation. In 1942, the church was closed and later sold and proceeds were donated to the Grenfell Union Hospital.
