morning and can also be heard right before sunset. They have dark-gray backs and reddish-orange breasts. Some say that the arrival of the Robin after winter is a sure sign of spring, so most people in the area anticipate and greatly look forward to the first sighting of a Robin. Perhaps one of the most unique things about the robin is the eggs that they lay, which are baby blue with white spots. You can often see Robins out in the rain or just after a rainfall, pecking at the ground for worms either for themselves or for their young. They can be spotted in fields, on lawns, in gardens, and in shady forests. Their song is a mixture of clear, caroling, and sharp notes, usually rising and falling from high to low pitch.
