Kevin Daoust - Engraver

Born and raised in the small town of Sturgeon Falls in Northern Ontario, Kevin's love for music was cemented somewhere between hearing his first Beatles' record at age 8 and attending his first guitar lessons at age 9. Many of his musical abilities were developed during his days in High School, playing, as a guitarist, bassist and drummer, everything between concert band music to jazz to rock, even picking up a few awards along the way. His participation even ran to the behind-the-scenes area, doing sound, and filming for musicals, drama presentations, and the OFFSA Basketball tournaments.

Since residing in Ottawa, Kevin's musical resume has only expanded. He is currently finishing off a Bachelor of Music Degree, through which he received instruction on guitar with Wayne Eagles. His performance experience has only grown again, playing more jazz, contemporary and improvised music. With the band "Stone's Throw", he has also had the opportunity to do two tours of Northern Ontario, including one date with rockers April Wine. He has also had a chance to work in various institutions in the music industry, lending his skills to the APCM, Hummingbird Music, and more recently the CMHS. Besides going to school, Kevin currently works as a guitar teacher in several Ottawa-area music schools. Feel free to contact him at melondaoust@hotmail.com
