Wetland Mixedwood Soils

Gleysolic SoilOrganic and Gleysolic soils are widespread in the wet depressional sites that are prevalent in this Subregion.  Permafrost occurs in many peatlands in a discontinuous fashion.  Upland sites typically have Gray Luvisols on fine or medium-textured materials or Eutric Brunisols on coarse-textured materials.
