The Mixedgrass ClimateThe climate of the Mixedgrass Subregion is slightly moister and cooler than that of the Dry Mixedgrass Subregion. The mean annual temperature is about 5 degrees Celsius with a mean summer temperature around 15 degrees Celsius which is 1 or 2 degrees Celsius cooler than the Dry Mixedgrass Subregion. Winter temperatures in the Mixedgrass Subregion are a few degrees warmer than the Dry Mixedgrass Subregion, with a greater frequency of Chinook days (20-30 more days) but with greater snow cover due to greater precipitation during the winter months. Annual precipitation in the Mixedgrass Subregion is also about 20% greater than for the Dry Mixedgrass Subregion.
