Black-throated Green Warbler
Management
No specific management activities have been reported for this species in Alberta. However, several major research
initiatives on forest management are underway in the province that include a songbird component.
The population trend of the Black-throated Green Warbler is unknown in Alberta, but populations appear to be fairly stable. Population size is unknown but may be quite large. The distribution of the
species in the province may be experiencing a slight northward contraction.
Some excellent research regarding forest management practices and their effects on bird communities is already underway in Alberta. There are no ongoing studies specifically on the Black-throated Green Warbler, but the species will be covered by many community-level projects.
