Fort Fitzgerald during a spring flood. On the left are the ruins of the Hudson's Bay Company that burned down. In the foreground is the Hudson's Bay Company staff house which also served as the jail. Next to the staff house is the Pinski's General Store and to the far right, Hanson's Hotel. c.1932.

This photo was taken in 1932 in front of the Hudson's Bay Company warehouse at Fort Fitzgerald.

Fort Fitzgerald, Alberta, c. 1940. In the foreground, Hudson's Bay Company Store. St. Mary's Church had been moved to the site up the hill.

Halfway House, 1935. Most of the vehicles were owned by the Ryan brothers. All traffic between Fort Fitzgerald and Fort Smith passed through Halfway.

These two pictures of Fort Fitzgerald, Alberta were taken 1940. The Hudson's Bay Company building belonged to Alberta Arctic Transportation Co. in the early twenties. One of Ryan's trucks is parked on the right.

Fort Fitzgerald, Alberta,1918. Alberta Arctic Transportation Co. warehouse and the "S.S McMurray" in the foreground.  St. Mary's church,  in the centre right, built in 1911 was moved to the site on the hill at Fort Fitzgerald.It was burned to the ground in 1974 as a result of a grass fire.
