Painting of Regina

SpacerThis ship was built by John and Samuel Cumminger in the Cumminger's Shipyard beside the General Store. The Regina was a barque of 599 tons. Its hull was made of wood and it had no figurehead. It was registered in Halifax in the year 1866. The Regina had two catalogued journeys. The barque departed from Liverpool on May 14, 1867 and arrived in Glasgow on August 31, 1867. It also departed from Halifax on May 27, 1868 and arrived in Liverpool on December 28, 1868. Samuel was the Master of this ship from May 10, 1867 until December 28, 1868 when it was probably sold into foreign markets.
