Dispensary and Examining Room
 Dr. Densmore would have had his own dispensary despite the existence of an apothecary in the Village. His dispensary was small and kept under lock and key. He also had his own labels. Children in the area would collect small bottles and sell them to him.
Dr. Densmore also made house calls. He traveled a twenty-mile radius from Sherbrooke by a team of horses pulling a buggy in the summertime and a cutter in the wintertime. He always carried three bags, surgical, obstetrics and a prescription bag stocked with medications. People would know what day he was coming to their area and would hang a flag on their gate in the daytime or a lamp at night. If a patient needed an operation, it was done at home, usually on the kitchen table. The methods of payment for the doctor's services varied. The doctor was either paid in cash or by the barter system. He also carried his patients on credit.
