Critical Reading
Questions:
- What basic messages are the writers intending to
give?
- What impressions do you get about the people or
events involved?
- List some of the descriptive words.
- From whose point of view is the article written?
- Whose side of the story don't you hear?
Directions:
- Read the article using the critical reading tool
and answer all the questions.
- Pair up with someone else in the class and share
your findings.
- Through class discussions about findings, try to
draw some conclusions about the media - content,
biases, opinions etc.
