Several organizations and over 100 individuals that have contributed significantly to aviation in Canada are recognized on this site. For each of these, a short historical biography is written that includes their career highlights and their specific contribution to aviation in Canada. The second part of the site is a glossary of aviation terms page. Over 100 terms and sayings pertaining to flying equipment, crew and more are defined. This would be a great research project for a history or physics class.(English and French)

Amelia Earhart

Perhaps no name is as symbolic of aerospace achievement as Amelia Earhart. When you say female aviator, the first name that comes to mind is Amelia Earhart! Although women have been flying since 1908 - five years after the Wright brothers made history - they have only recently benefited from the same training and career opportunities that long were open to men. This site provides biographical information as well as links to learn about women in aviation.
