Tracking and Assessment

Collect and evaluate handouts and displays. Certain topics have been indicated that they should be tested. Other criteria could include research skills and ability to organize information. The student's work will be assessed at the completion of each task. Feedback is important for students so teachers should provide guidance and information throughout all stages of work.

1. Completion checklist

  • The teacher can use this Completion Checklist to ensure that all areas have been covered. It can also be posted in the classroom so that students know what has been completed and what will be learned next.

2. Anecdotal records

  • Formal or informal notes can be kept through the use of Post-It Notes or filling in the At A Glance sheet.

3. Tests

a) Identify the Parts of a Plane

b) Identify forces which affect flight

4. Artifact Evaluation Form (self and teacher)

5. Daily log

  • Students record what they learned and work they accomplished in their daily log.

6. Design Report

  • Collect and evaluate according to set criteria. To be assessed by both student and teacher.
