Janis Dunning
Producer / Writer

Janis Dunning is a veteran of a professional performing career in Canada, the United States and London, England. For 18 years she created, directed and starred in two national television series for the CTV network: LET’S GO and THE ROCKETS. She has created cultural and multicultural works seen nationally and internationally. She has been the director and creator of highly successful performing arts training programs in Canada and has received awards and acclaim for the musicals she has written with Canadian composers. Her students have garnered major roles in Canada, London, New York and L.A. on stage and screen.

Ms. Dunning conceived the show “Spirit of a Nation” and the national tour “Experience Canada” in response to the threat of the time, that Canada might separate and future generations might inherit only portions of the full grandeur of this great nation from sea to sea to sea. It was a singular opportunity for millions of Canadians to celebrate living in what the United Nations came to call “the best country in the world to live in.” Ms. Dunning continues to produce events which encourage young people and all Canadians to be proud of Canada.
