The Governor's Residence

"Outside the Fort,... stood two one story buildings; one was the bakery the other the residence of Governor Blanshard."
Anderson Memoirs
AddMss 1912 volume 8, file #6

"The house is now nearly finished and he will soon move into it; so there will be an end of trouble. The size of the Governor's house is 40 by 20 ft, with a kitchen 18 by 12 feet attached and a house 24 by 18 for his servants. The house is ceiled and painted inside. It has a neat appearance and is on the whole the best finished building in Oregon."
