Erwin Zodrow Erwin Zodrow has devoted his career to the taxonomy of fossil plants, specifically those of the Late Carboniferous Period. He specialises in chemotaxonomy -- the science of describing plants by their chemical nature. Using cutting edge mathematics, Erwin also studies the mathematical patterns found in the structure of fossil plants. He is at the forefront of this exciting new branch of palaeobotany and his work takes him all over the world, collaborating with scientists from many different countries. Erwin is a researcher and full professor of Geology at the University College of Cape Breton in Sydney, Nova Scotia. His work with the fossils of the Sydney Coalfield is very well respected and has been instrumental to our present understanding of the ancient flora of the province. |
