Botanical Description
- hairy, tufted perennial, one to many stems from thickened, commonly
branched stem base, 15-50 cm tall
- numerous long stalked basal leaves
- creamy white, yellowish or pinkish (sometimes bright red-pink) flowers
- found in rocky slopes, open forest, grasslands and meadows

Ethnobotanical Description
A very strong decoction of this plant was fabricated to kill fleas
and lice. A handful of the plant's leaves was also placed in the sweatbaths used to ease
rheumatism. The Gitxsan also drank a weak concoction for the same purpose, but warn
that it burns like whiskey.
