Based on the popular board game Balderdash, each
student is assigned 5 words from their W.W.II Glossary. The student must
then create three false but believable definitions for that
term. Each student then labels the front of the card with the term, and
writes four definitions on the back (3 false and 1 true). Teacher collects
the cards, divides the class into teams, and plays W.W.II Balderdash.
For Example: SPITFIRE 1) The Code name of the Allied Invasion of Europe. 2) The fighter plane flown by RCAF pilots. 3) The torpedo used by German U-Boats. 4) A town liberated by Canadian soldiers during the Italian
Campaign.
ANSWER: B, a fighter plane.
