| Hon. Chas. Murphy, Secretary of State, arrived in town (Thursday) from east in the private car of the Dominion Government. The distinguished visitor was met at the depot by the brass band which played a number of selected overtures in approved style. A public | meeting will be held this evening in the Humboldt hall, which will be addressed by Hon. Mr. Murphy and other prominent speakers. The Hon. Mr. Murphy will afterwards be banqueted at the Windsor Hotel.
