The site of the dive to recover the P.S. Lady Sherbrooke was near Ile Charron, only minutes from downtown Montréal. To get the research vessel, the John Molson II, to this location from its winter resting ground required a short journey. Following the trip various preparations, both to the the John Molson II and to the site, had to be undertaken prior to diving.
