Without our youth what would our futures hold?
The following is a collection of poems, stories, and art from our youth of Lennox Island.

Colors...For No One
Poem By Justin Lewis

I had never seen a smile so radiant Light to my darkest  seconds.A voice so soft was seldom heard, it had the power to reassure.

A warm embrace was welcome thing, soothing in its comfort. You might paint me a fool for noticing the trivial

You say I make substance out of nothing But a feeling can't be resisted And neither a sparkle in the eye.
So many colors to this picture...Can I add my own?

35 DAYS
Poem By Jason Sark

We came in with our heads down, There was no smile just a frown. We were People with lost souls. Had no plans and set no goals.

We needed help from no one, Troubles came, we had to run. Where we ran was to our beer, Our chosen way to hide fear.

Weeks of learning, we do know People always need to grow. To run from our fears no more, Help is there, open the door. We now leave this graceful place With filling the empty space.

Paige Bernard, aged 12 (Finding)

In 1997, Paige was at the Sand Hills with her family. While there, Paige and her grandparents went beach combing and stumbled onto a bottle with a letter inside. After breaking the bottle, Paige’s grandparents realized the text wasn’t in English but in the Turkish language. Also enclosed, were two pictures of a boy around the age of 10.
