United States Engineering Division Camp Near Fort St. John
Probably winter 1942 - 43 - Fort St. John aerial view showing both the US
Army camps set up during Alaska Highway Construction. It was quite a common site to
see vehicles with U.S.E.D. written across the doors and there were many puzzled looks
as to why the army would advertise having used vehicles. Of course, it did not take
long to realize those were the initials for the United States Engineering Division!
