Grain Elevators

Grain elevators
Grain elevators in Fort St. John were built after the railway came to town. The first load of wheat was taken to a local elevator in early November 1958. Prior to the railway coming and elevators being built, farmers had to take their grain trucks on the long haul to Dawson Creek. What a time and cost saver for the local farmers!
