Lilian Framst Teather
Lilian arrived in Canada from England in 1908 at the age of 11. Along with her family, she lived in London, Ontario until her move to Vancouver two years later. There she graduated from high school and went on to become a teacher. One of her teaching posts was at Chuchua, where she met her future husband, Carl Anton Framst. They were married December 27, 1918.

The Framst family arrived and settled in Cecil Lake, May 10, 1930. Lilian was only the second white woman to cross the Peace River. The Framst family, one of the first with small children to settle in the Peace.

Lilian was instrumental in establishing the Cecil Lake School and served as its teacher from 1931-38.

In 1932, Anton was killed in a tragic logging accident. Lilian was to remarry in 1935 to George Henry Teather. From then on her greatest love was her flower gardens and the gardens became showpieces of the community. Lilian passed away on December 31, 1983.
