Ogopogo Sighting Facts
1. Whistle or hum something Scottish. Ogopogo is a sucker surfacing if he thinks his cousin Nessie has come to visit.
2. Keep your distance! Ogopogo is really shy but does stay surfaced for several minutes if nobody is daring enough to take his picture.
3. Put film in your camera but leave the lens cap on. Ogopogo can tell if you are ready to capture his appearance on film. You have to trick him into thinking that you are just a tourist taking pictures of lakeside vineyards. This works really well if you are.
4. Don't wear clothing that identifies you as a crew member of Unsolved Mysteries.
5. Don't drag anything that looks like prehistoric fish food through the water. Nobody knows how many teeth he has.
6. If you are out trolling for trout and he gets your line, CUT IT! Ogopogo can travel speeds exceeding 30 kilometers an hour so if he does get your line you will know it.
7. Spend a lot of time gazing at other boats and also other water activities. Ogopogo is spotted from the periphery of your vision so therefore your common sense says that if you are staring at the mountains you wont see him.
