Joni McManus

This is Joni's fifth website project. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Pacific and Asian Studies, as well as a Diploma in Visual Art. She is self-employed doing internet design and construction. Joni is also a visual artist, whose main interests are sculpture, performance, and video. Visit her website.

Karina Finter

Karina Finter
Anthropology content creator, general site re-vamping, Webzine editor, digital photography, scanning, HTML coding.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of British Columbia. Her area of study focused on Canadian and Asian history, as well as Asian culture and teaching ESL. Karina's main interests are rockclimbing, snowboarding, drawing, and learning about other cultures. "I would especially like to thank my dad, Don Finter, for the use of his digital camera, scanner, and computer throughout the project."

Kevin D Brown Kevin D Brown
Phase 2 Contract Coordinator, art direction, design

Kevin has been working as the Site Manager for the Haig-Brown House Education Centre since 1994. As part of this operation, he has been working on community development projects such as this website, acting as de facto executive director for the Haig-Brown Kingfisher Creek Society's creek restoration project, and, recently, acting as the Education Coordinator for the Society. His background is in historic woodwork and education programs at historic sites and museums, including work at Barkerville Historic Site, Fort Langley National Historic Site, and Fort Steele Provincial Heritage Town.

Sara

Sara Blundell

Research, content, student activities, HTML coding.

Sara is presently a teacher-on-call in the Victoria School District after recently completing her B.Ed. with an earlier B.A. in English and Psychology. Sara likes to take advantage of all the great West Coast camping opportunities with her husband and young daughter. She also enjoys reading, eating, running and cycling. This is Sara's first major computer project - to which she contributed research, content, and student activities.



Darcey

Darcey Wood

Darcey Wood is an on-call elementary school teacher in Campbell River. Her favorite grades are kindergarten through grade 5. Her rainy day activities include reading, cooking and working out at the gym. On a sunny day, Darcey likes to fish, go canoeing or camping. Her favorite pastime is traveling, whether it be around Vancouver Island or all the way to Japan. Her next trip will hopefully be to somewhere very warm and sunny. Darcey enjoyed working with her Schoolnet Digital Collections Team and the computer experience has benefitted her in many ways.



Carollyne

Carollyne Yardley

Digital Photography, database cataloguing.

Carollyne is a partner of Industrial Art Internet Group. She has a B.A. with a double major in Psychology and 'History in Art' from the University of Victoria. Her areas of study focused on Consumer and Marketing Psychology and Northwest Coast Indigenous Arts. Carollyne photographed the artifacts for the collections database.
