Manufacturer: H.B. & H

Holmes, Booth & Haydens, (also known as Union Silver Plate Co. or Sheffield Plated Co.), Waterbury, Connecticut.

Organized by Israel Holmes in 1853 to roll brass.

They made plated silver copper sheets for photography which produced a better and less expensive photograph than the copper plare.

During the Civil War they made brass buttons for both military and civil uniforms, brass fittings and kerosene lamps. After the war they went into the nickel-silver business and turned out huge quantities of knives, forks and spoons for silver-plating.

Bought by Rogers and Hamilton c.1886, which later became part of International Silver Company.
