HOUSE BOY:
Ah. I see the gardener is there. He's looking off to the bridge again.

IRISH GARDENER: Ah, good day house boy. Your replacement is here, I see.

HOUSE BOY: Yes. The new house servant. You still thinking about the accident, gardener?

IRISH GARDENER: Aye, every time I look over to yon bridge. Not too long ago -- on May the 26 it was, Queen Victoria's birthday celebrations you see -- I was just digging in the flower beds, and I heard such terrifying cries for help. And I looked up, and I saw a street car, packed with holiday makers crossing the bridge, but some of the bridge supports were collapsing. The street car tottered there, then car and passengers alike plunged straight into the harbour!

Many folks rushed to help, we pulled out so many bodies - some found their friends - others found family - oh, it was tragic! We laid them on the neighbours lawn but, most people drowned...55 in all.

HOUSE BOY: Being among the flowers might have eased their souls' entry into heaven.

GARDENER: Aye...lets hope so - well - we can't change history, can we? I'm walking back to the carriage house now. Why not you two tag along and I'll talk about the garden as we go...

HOUSE BOY: That would be fine!

Let's continue down the porch to the left. When you reach the stairs down to the lawn, we'll stop a moment.
