IRISH GARDENER: Look across yon fence. This is the working garden with our kitchen garden: the fruit trees and beds of cauliflower - and a heated greenhouse too! All grown for use inside the house. There's enough work here for a battallion of gardeners, but usually it will be just you and me!
Step down and stand on the gravel pathway a moment.
This path goes through one of the garden show places. In these beds, Miss Kathleen O'Reilly plants her prize winning verbena each year.
Follow the path to the right, back towards the bridge.
IRISH GARDENER:Aye. Stop a moment up ahead, where the path turns.
HOUSE BOY:
To the O'Reillys, this garden was another part of the house.
