My Escape From Exile
In 1755, the Acadians were forcibly expelled from Nova Scotia. This was due, in large part, to their unique nature. Acadians, although francophones, would hesitate to call themselves French.Yet the English saw them as a possible threat in the upcoming war and had them expelled. The following is the story of one young girl who escaped this ordeal, and how the event changed her life forever.
