Membertou was Chief of the Mi'kmaq in the Western Valley when Sieur de Monts arrived in Port Royal. His life had a tremendous impact on both the Mi'kmaq and European communities. This story, told by a Mi'kmaq elder to a younger member of the nation, describes the life of this great man.
