The Federal Building

The Federal Building

The Post office building was constructed in 1939 and also housed the Canadian Customs office. This is the only all brick structure in Townsite. It is an excellent example of the architectural style used by the federal government. The entire cost of building the structure was $50,000. Soon after its creation, the increasing mail demands of World War II were funneled through this building.
