Royal Visits to the Queen City

The name "Regina" actually signifies "Queen",
which is why Regina is often referred to as the
Queen City.

The name was first suggested by Her Royal
Highness, Princess Louise, daughter of Queen
Victoria, in August 1882. Since then Regina
has had the honour of hosting a wide range
of Royal guests.
